September 30, 2008 - Currently, Farragut Films is in post production on their first and second vignettes (dubbed Crew Logs) entitled "Just Passing Through," and "A Rock and a Hard Place ". Both films are slated to premiere on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the University of Maryland's Hoff Theater at 4 PM. Farragut Films is also working in association with NEO f/x to produce the return of animated Star Trek after thirty-five years with "Starship Farragut: The Animated Episodes." These "Special Editions" will be produced in the same style as "Star Trek: The Animated Series," produced by Filmation in the 1970's. The cast list includes celebrities with ties to science fiction, anime and Star Trek: Chase Masterson (Leeta on Deep Space Nine) will be the primary guest star in “The Needs of the Many”, with Tim Russ (Tuvok on Voyager) making a special appearance. Chris Doohan (son of James Doohan, the original ‘Scotty’) will be voicing two characters his father made famous in the original series. In addition, most of the secondary males characters are being voiced by Vic Mignogna (the voice of Edward Elric on Fullmetal Alchemist). Additional voice talent featured in the episodes will include Hetoreyn, Jason LeBlanc, and Ralph M. Miller.
Farragut Films is also in pre-production of it’s fifth live-action Starship Farragut film called, “Hair of the Dog” and will start filming in early 2009. It is scheduled to be filmed in the Cincinnati, OH. area.
